The Angels are in ministry, today that ministry is of course the ministry of Jesus Christ as with man their ministries would be manifold. The difference being as I understand they are sent to minister for us, not to us but for us, to see or aid Gods plan for our lives and the lives of fellow believers fulfilled as we pursue that plan or will of God in prayer.

6:1. In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.
6:2. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
6:3. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory.
6:4. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
6:5. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
6:6. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
6:7. And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Ezekiel. 1.
1:5. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
1:6. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
1:7. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
1:8. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
1:9. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
1:10. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
1:11. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
1:15. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
1:16. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
1:17. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
1:18. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
1:19. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
1:23. And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
1:24. And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
1:25. And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
1:26. And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
1:27. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
Revelation 4.
4:6. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
4:7. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
4:8. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
4:9. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
4:10. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
4:11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
8:15. And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
8:16. And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
8:17. So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
8:18. Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
8:19. And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
1:18. And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

1:28. And the angel came in unto her, and said, hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
1:29. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
1:30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Luke. 1:31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
1:32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
1:33. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

4:16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
4:17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Isaiah. 14.
14:13. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14:14. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
14:15. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

10:11. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
10:12. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
10:13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
10:14. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
10:15. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
10:16. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

A quick summery of what the scriptures reveal about the Angles.
1. There are three Angelic officers that are confined to the realm of heave, the presence and praise of God, being the Seraphim, Cherubim and Zao. Though one of the Cherubim was sent to guard the entrance of the garden of Eden with a flaming sword after Adams fall. These angels do have wings but I am sure not bird like of the feathered verity.
2. Two Angelic offices, the Arch Angels and the common Angel are the two offices that have interacted with mankind serving as messengers, affording protection and from time to time executing Godly discipline toward the disobedience of man.
3. In all scriptures in which these two Angels are mentioned they are described as men by those who communed with them, not that they would be of the male gender as we know it, of wings there is not one mention in any of the verses indicating they neither have or require any.
4. They are servants to Gods people, today the Church and not only aid in but are also egger to see prophecy concerning the Church fulfilled.
5. Although absolutely obedient to the will of God they also like us have free will, if that were not the case as some in the past have stated satan nor his angels could have chosen to rebel against God.
6. They have a high intellect as stated by the woman when speaking with King David in 2 Samuel under the unction of the Holy Spirit, "for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad." As again unfortunately displayed by satan in the cunning he demonstrated in deceiving Eve and the deception that is rampant on this earth today.
7. They "Hearkening unto the voice of His word." Their acts of obedience are prompt, so that they are ever ready to hear, and know, and follow implicitly His declared word. That also includes the words of our mouth as Ecclesiastes. 5:6 makes quite clear, "neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error, wherefore should God be angry at thy voice." As stated in Proverbs, life and death are in the power of the tongue. They hear us as well, should what we say or even pray at times be seen to be opposing Gods word the results may not be pleasing. " and destroy the work of thine hands."
8. Their appearance has been a fearful experience for many of the Patriarchs to whom they appeared and talked, many have been seen with drawn swords painting a picture of them as awesome beings that, "excel in strength." Yet on other occasions as in Acts 1:10 just as ordinary men, "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel."
9. We like children of Israel before us are also not to provoke the angels as they did Exod. 23:21, lest we suffer the same consequences they did as there is no forgiveness in them and not enter His rest. How do we provoke them? By the ungodly way we at times may live in their sight, the sometimes undesirable things that can at times come out of our mouths and by disobedience, possibly even prayerlessness that we can all suffer from at times. Praise God for the Blood of Jesus we have the right of repentance, we have a mediator between God and ourselves, "The man Christ Jesus." I Tim. 2:5. "But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." Heb. 10:39.
10. We are not to worship or pray to them at any time or under any circumstances as those who fell down before them where quickly stood back up on their feet and told quite firmly to see they didn't do that as John discovered in Rev. 19:10. "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
